I’m in such high spirits after seeing Jason Lytle (formerly of Grandaddy) perform that I’m giving away all of my posters. Well, one Jason Lytle poster, one set of Decemberists, and one Ben Folds. See the post below for those last two. Anyway, all you have to do is comment, leave your email or some place I can get in touch with you, and your desired poster of choice. I will draw numbers from a hat on July 16th. Oh, add this to your RSS feed while you’re at it. I’m going to give away one of every poster I make from now on.
Also, I made a skate deck based on the poster design, which you can vote for here if you like. Thanks! – Ben

What happened to summer? It is flying out the window faster than I complain about the heat. I haven’t been churning out as much work lately because I’ve been working on a big project…a POETRY book with my friend Rich Smith (don’t worry, he is the poet and he’s very good, I’m just illustrating). It will be great though! Probably done in a week or two.
In the meantime here are some more posters. Ben Folds, and a set of Decemberists posters. They are each one color for two reasons: One color prints are quick and simple, and you can’t cut any corners or use any tricks…and also I was almost out of emulsion (what you coat the screens with) and was scared of running out part way through. Anyway, you can get them at neversleeping.etsy.com!

I made another zine during my poster marathon week (taking a break from them for a bit). Anyway, it’s purple ink screen printed on tan coverstock, 4″ x 4″ edition of 90. Go to my etsy shop to pick one up.

Jason at The Best Part was kind enough to post about my work, and he has featured a ton of other stuff that’s way better than me so check it out and add to your RSS feed!
New poster (Junior Boys) and I’m cranking a few more out too. I’m also illustrating some poems my friend Rich Smith wrote, so a silkscreened book with all of them is soon to follow…you’ll love it! I swear.

For Illustration Friday, what says poise better than a top hat? Nothing! Featuring Abe Lincoln, Slash, and T-Pain. I’m doing a silkscreened version of this (it will look a bit different) that will be available in my store soon.

I just finished this for the “It could be me” project, and I think it works nicely for Illustration Friday’s topic “Pale.” Also, it was my birthday yesterday and I am officially in my mid-twenties…yikes.

This week I was featured in the Columbia Missourian. It’s a great article, and you can check it out here.
Also, I finished another page of my zine. It will be completely done by this week, then I have to assemble it and sell it (fingers crossed).
