Too long between posts again, but I’m just trying not to drown in work over here. I finished this Stars poster a few days ago though. It’s 18″ x 24″ and three colors on super thick coverstock. There are about nine “art prints” of it without the text as well, and all will be for sale after the show. More to come, folks.

Oh man, I’ve been lazy with this lately. Only with this though, because I’ve been making so many things I haven’t even had three seconds of a break…not even to do Illustration Friday. So let’s get to it then. The big project was a Steddy P. EP called Virgo. He’s extremely talented, and trusted me enough to let me do whatever I wanted for this one…so I wanted it to be absolutely sick.

So there it is. Lots more to come, including posters for Stars, Ratatat, and The Silver Jews. I’m also slooooowly completing my first zine (screen printing all the pages individually takes quite a while) which will be done in the next month or so. Check back for more frenquent updates, I promise.

This is a screen print I did about a year ago, but I haven’t posted it anywhere. Fits nicely for the topic “detach” if I do say so myself. These are available to purchase here. Enjoy!

For Illustration Friday, subject is “sail.” Sometimes I feel like the little guy in the boat, and every once in a while I feel like the monster.

It has been a crazy two weeks, yet I still feel as if I don’t have much to show for it. BUT…there is a new poster at least. And there will be one for Ratatat in a couple of days.
Thao and the Get Down Stay Down. Four colors (including sparkley red) screen printed on 80lb. cream cover stock, edition of 130. I know you all are thinking “where can I pick up this beauty? I want to hang it on my wall or use it as a place mat or give it to a friend or rip it to pieces.” In that case, check out the store.

This is another one for Illustration Friday, topic is “canned.” Yikes, hope this doesn’t bring up any bad memories for anyone. I think if you are fired, it’s just a sign that you should live the dream for a while.

A late one for Illustration Friday. The topic is “enough,” and I drew this little guy because I’ve had enough of cut-offs and ironic mustaches this summer. Why is it all of the sudden hip to look like a pedophile? I really don’t know.

Above is the album cover I’ve been working on (for a while) for a band call The Sour Babies. I’m finishing the back cover and disc design this week, but have no idea when it will be printed since the band is currently in China. Doing…something. I’m not sure really.
Edit: I realize that for Illustration Friday this is kind of cheating…but the word is “sour,” and it just seems like perfect timing.

This is the poster I just finished for Feist’s show at Starlight in Kansas City. Phew, this one took a little bit. Not only did I go through six different ideas before I decided what I wanted to do, but it’s also a 3-color screen print edition of 170. They should be hanging up in shop windows all around KC for the next week or two.
Like always, you can buy them at the store here.
Also, if I was any kind of professional I would put some sort of box around the picture so you could see the edges of the poster. This is Never Sleeping Design though, not Always Professional Design.

This is my first shirt for 200 Nipples (read about them on their site, it’s great) and it depicts the death of the RIAA. Kinda. If you aren’t familiar, the RIAA is the organization that fines everyday people thousands of dollars for downloading music on filesharing programs. Anyway, you can buy it here…and you should before all the cheap ones are snatched up, as there will only be 100 printed.
I swear I will lay off the light blue after this…cross my heart.
